RICK MICKELSON -
Founder of Altelec in 1981 started his career in the electrical industry at Westinghouse in Toronto after graduating from the University of Manitoba in 1971 with a degree in electrical engineering. He moved to Alberta in 1974 with Westinghouse where he managed industrial sales in Northern Alberta . He has stewarded the growth of Altelec to over $20 MM per year.

NEIL HANSSEN -
Joined Altelec in 1998 after graduating from the Electrical Engineering Technology Program at N.A.I.T. and is very community minded. Neil's expertise involves working with Altelec as a product application engineer. He is a critical team member, in our Edmonton office working with Altelec's clients, and helping them find effective solutions for their power quality and relay protection.

BLAINE LARSON -
Blaine graduated from the Electrical Engineering Technology program at N.A.I.T in 2007, and started with Altelec immediately after. He is a certified Journeyman Electrician, and has been in the electrical industry since 1999. His Electrical experience covers all sectors of the industry including residential, commercial and industrial. Blaine has proven to be a crucial team member by handling large projects and assisting the customer find product solutions at the engineering and design levels.

LYNNELL RUTTAN -
Started with Altelec, June 1, 1990. Lynnell handles inside sales, customer service and all head-office administrative and bookkeeping duties. She has many years of experience in an office environment and has helped to grow the business.

  
PATRICK ROBINSON -
Graduated with honors from Electrical Engineering Technology at NAIT, April 1995.Began working for Altelec 2 days later. Move to Calgary in February 1997 to open Altelec southern office. Pat has spent his years focusing on the application of protective relaying in the industrial and utility markets, and in the application of large variable frequency drives and solid state softstarts in the industrial market.

ROD LECHELT -
Joined Altelec in 2003, after graduating with an honors diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from NAIT. After a brief training period in the Edmonton office, he moved to Winnipeg to develop the markets in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. For two and a half years he worked there, focusing on providing package solutions for the individual needs of his clients, specializing in protection, drive and starter technology, and DC systems. He is now working out of the Calgary office, to further develop the Alberta market, and as well continue to focus on Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

TIM RITSEMA -
Joined Altelec the beginning of May 2007 after completing the Electrical Engineering technology program with honors from NAIT. He moved to Calgary to join the Altelec team, and since has been working closely with Pat and Rod to further Altelec's presence in the electrical market.

ABBI SCHENK -
The most recent member of the team. Acquired a BA - Marketing Major Graduate of S.A.I.T. Sales management experience in providing our customers with efficient and effective inside sales and customer support. The relationship that has been established with the factories ensures that orders are processed in a timely manner and that all customer requests are closely reviewed and handled appropriately.
